SWeeeeet dropouts

jet sanchEz 02-24-06 01:02 PM

Hey, is there a Toronto swap-meet for bicycles? I recall one in the annex last summer but I couldn't make it, where could I find information regarding bike-swaps? Thanks.

The guy in the front with the white shirt (who are you?). I seen him around downtown several times after that. We had beers at the Green Room.

******bag that ticketed the guy on the trike. Later saw that ticketed dude doing some helmet promotion thing on university campus a month or two later.

That guy in the uh funny bike had pedal strike riding straight and level.

I,ve yet to make it to a C.M. but hope to soon, but not today. my chances on getting downtown for a ride around are also slim.I'm hoping be able to get down to the bike show next weekend at least.Thats if
my wife can hold in that kid very much longer?
Cheers

yeah, I've talked to that guy too. When I bought my bike he was actually looking at it as well. Then on that CM I saw him and we chatted for a few minutes. I don't know his name or anything though.

It's keeping me up nights and getting into my dreams. Can anyone recommend a paint stripper that doersn't require a gas mask to use? I hear there's a decent one at Crappy Tire.

I used this orange stuff called Citristrip. I did the stripping in a basement with no ventilation, and it just mildly smells like oranges. I actually still have half the giant bottle, so if you want it, it's yours.

On another note... damn, I got downtown an hour too late to catch CM. Hope you guys are having fun.

sr20det 02-24-06 08:10 PM

oh! I gotta borrow that citristrip after t-jammer's done!
btw... isn't stripping w/ no ventilation hazrdous to your health? I like citristrip cause it smells good compared to all the other nasty smelling stuff.

32flavours 02-24-06 08:38 PM

I actually lied about no ventilation, I left the door open periodically to let the fumes air out. But it was hella cold. So not too often. Anyways, the point is that it smells like ooooranges! So any takers with the citristrip? I will deliver it to you if it's downtown.

sr20det 02-24-06 09:10 PM

if nobody borrow's it in 2 weeks, could I use some?
or better yet, anyone want to help me strip & paint my guitar and neck?
(I don't have a basement or a garage) :(

marcel? ...as in 'mars'?? if so, that dude is old skool...i worked with him most recently at 'the mess'...great guy, too! say "hi", if it is the same guy and you cross paths.

curiously, you ever know any guys named yves orton (i think he rode for starship and usually had a fatty nearby) or paul andrews?

Yes...the very same Mars. i see him fairly regularly so I will pass on yer hello. I do indeed remember Yves. I worked with him when he got his first job at the Path. Last I heard he was in England specializing in "botany"

sweep242 02-25-06 09:50 PM

Were on page two i'm posting to bump it.
Wow more snow today. Although i'm still riding to work everyday we have been pretty lucky this winter, weather wise. Just keep saying spring is around the Conner. & the bike show.
Cheers
