What kind of fenders are they? Are they full coverage or clip on? Do you have eyelets for fenders?

I think I sorta figured it out...they look like those race blade ones... like this
just gotta go higher up...wheel kept grindin the fender...so i raised it up and strapped it down hard...
edit: gues I was confused cause they aint relly fit like the picture...and those no writing picture instructions had a bredda confused...

That little threaded hole on the top there is an eyelet. Its designed to support fenders or a rack or both and is more secure than clip on style fenders.

On the raceblade style fenders it may be easier and more secure to just use zip ties and crank them down hard, and then cut them off at the end of the winter...

Damn, I missed the MEC swap; what did the seller want for the Pinarello? Did it sell?

jeremywhitehorn 10-22-06 03:20 PM

duppy, if i'm not mistaken your IRO should have fender eyelets. you have to thread the brake caliper bolt through the brace on the top of the fender first, then attach the metal stays to the eyelets. takes some playing around and adjusting after that. good luck my man. your dry backside will thank you.

The dude was selling both the Concorde and Pinarello for $200 each!!!

I was gonna buy the rello, but was 2 minutes too late. It would have been too big for me.

I could have flipped for at least twice that amount on eBay/CL...

:o

Naw, it was a roadie bike. But still a steel of a deal! :)

It was red, old dura-ace rear derailleur, campy cranks, 105 brakes, campy brake levers, mavic rims...

Could be converted to fixie, but I would rock it roadie style!

Damn it! I should have taken it...

operator 10-22-06 05:20 PM

So did the swap have any good accessories? Clothing? Besides full bikes?

i'd say just rub it with sea salt, olive oil and some fresh herbs of your choice, then sear it on all sides and finish it in the oven. i like salmon nice and simple.

how do you always make it?

ronin2046 10-22-06 06:44 PM

The Pini and Concorde were scooped up right at the beginning. :(

There were tons of accessories... You missed out Rob :)

somnambulant 10-22-06 06:52 PM

Try poaching it in olive oil. Yummy. Heat the oil to a simmer, season salmon and cook for 5 min per 1/2 inch. Tastilicious. Nice with some new potatoes, garlic, olives, onions, tomato and capers lightly sauted and then simmered in butter and white wine.

Food like this gets me horny.

Nice style...same way I normally do it...or just put it in the oven after seasoning with some salt, pep, and rosemary, then make a creamy dill sauce to top it off...yesterday I did the salmon with a teriyaki stylee wiv some stirfried veggies on tha side and jasmine rice...
