Well at least when it breaks it's not too much work to carry it out!

A day late and a dollar short my geeky friend... .you've been holding up the wrong platform. :D :D

I am unaware of the significance of 4/20....if it does involve either speedos or banana hammocks, then I for one shall pass.
No safety for me this evening, but FLAME ON for the BBQ!!!!! see ya tomorrow.

I wish I knew what some of the Toronto hills are, grade wise.

Very easy to do with Google Earth actually. The elevation change from downtown campus to my house is 233m-101m. With the distance to campus that works out to about .04% average gradient uphill from downtown.

The Yonge st./York Mills section is about 3.6% @ 800m. I remember there was another "hill" just pass the bridge north of Rosedale at Yonge but I can't specifically remember. Of course I have no idea what the resolution of the data google is using but it is fairly accurate.

Speaking of bad grammar: Here is a note from a bank robber.

“Do as this note tells you to do. Don’t make me hurt no one. Cause if you do you will be this frist one I hurt. Just give me the money. Don’t give me no dye pack in it or any tracer in the money. Don’t be a fool and start any probelms. Don’t pull no alarms till I am out of here. Thank you have a nice day Merry Xmas 100's, 50s, 20s, 10s & 5's only. No 1s or change. Hurry up don’t be stalling me. I am not dumb. It only takes seconds.”

The bottom bar on the screen shows you the elevation and geographic coordinates. If it's not visible do a view-> show status bar.

Anyone know an approximate cost of replacement heel pads for Sidi shoes? Also, are they all the same, or do I need specific ones for specific shoes?

cavit8 04-20-07 11:00 AM

Heels are $6 from MEC for the road shoe version

Thanks!! I was going to get them from probikekit.com for $9, but this is cheaper and easier!

So I had to take the dog to the vet yesterday at Queen West Animal Hospital and guess who had re-opened and was attempting to not only to sell "his" merchanise but also every bike locked up anywhere close to Trinity Bell Woods...

I thought our old friend had finally closed up shop but I guess I was wrong...

cavit8 04-20-07 11:32 AM

There goes the neighborhood. Again.

somnambulant 04-20-07 11:32 AM

mmm.. beer and bbq for lunch on a sunny "patio" (ie. garage door stylez) in the market. Good. F'ing. Times.

operator 04-20-07 11:44 AM

Yep he was out there in full force. There was one guy looking at buying a bike and then he peered into the shop and you could see the look of fear on his face... It's so damn scary in there.

somnambulant 04-20-07 12:10 PM

Someone needs to spray paint "stolen bikes" across the front of that place.
