Ny Times has an article about bike polo. It suggests that you have to use a fixie. Crazy!

No problem. I had to leave and run a forgotten errand before they closed. We could hook up either Saturday or Sunday.

Paris-Ancaster people: did you see/talk to anyone running the new SRAM road stuff on their cx bikes? Anything blow up or act newsworthy in some way? I'd love to join in w/ the weekend fun everyone is having. As of June 1 I'll be getting at least one weekend day off, so there's a social life begging to come back to me.

Wes: Bike Rally shiznit at Wade's tonight. Bring bbq sauce and a cheese slice for daddy.

somnambulant 04-28-07 06:58 AM

BIke Polo Toronto! May 13th on the Island, come play, race in Ziggy's criterium, spectate, eat , have a good time! Got a team to register? Contact info;
http://www.r-evolution.cc/site/index.php

Hmmm, there is supposed to be something there about the event. Well, the email addy etc for information about the bike polo is here http://r-evolution.cc/site/users.php?mode=profile&uid=6

Do me a solid, send him an email. Hell no fixed gears aren't required, you can ride your mom if she's got two wheels and some pedals for your feet. There are some spare mallets, there may be a few beater bikes but don't quote me on that. We're thinking that since we're in the pretty part of the park at a fabulous time of year it'll be a fine opportunity to picnic, so bring stuff to singe cause if we come up with something it'll be free dogs or something. I believe the vending thing will be open & operating too, and of course you can go relax sans clothing if you get too hot racing or swinging your mallet.

Good times, good times, hey Keith maybe you could bring some discs, you could show me how the non-suit golf works, I've never done anything but putt-putt

I would be happy to show you how to disc golf........badly. Unfortunately I will be at Albion Hills that weekend for O-Cup #2. Another time perhaps.

Thanks again for the ride Dan, and James for being the photographer. I'm not sure if photography can really do justice to my speed and manliness though...

32flavours 04-28-07 05:12 PM

Weird, at work today (Bikes On Wheels) about 5 people who know me randomly came in. And then on my way home I saw another random 5 people that I know (including Danhalen).

How's the annoyanator working out, Wes?

Offhoff 04-28-07 07:30 PM

I. Love. Track.

Jet I sent you a PM about the bianchi frame (I think its yours) my cousin would be interested.

Shiz, if you wouldn't mind PMing me the measurements on your spicer that might fit him too.

Ronin thanks for taking photos, tell me when and where to pick up a CD and I'l be there.

After photographing Steve, Dan, and Charles and their ear-to-ear grins on their faces at Forest City, I want to go for a little ride tomorrow.

When and where?

P.S. Anyone here a fan of "The Office"? This week's episode was HILARIOUS!

Shiznaz 04-28-07 10:27 PM

There are a couple photos james took of me where I look intense and have the 'eye of the tiger' as it were. PS. Duppy and I are ostensibly planned to meet for a ride at 9:30am tomorrow starting at moonbean. The more the merrier. Compromises in start time/place are welcome.
