i ran v's with cane creek tri levers on my bull horns for quite some time. i had absolutely no issues. sure, it felt like junk because there wasnt a whole lot of spring tension going on, but it was fine. just be more careful when modulating the brakes

If you find you're stuck locally, loose screws has em.

And shame on you all for talking about vintage bianchi. It made me go to bike specialties web page and now I'm drooling over a lovely restored Andre Bertin Randonneur ($750 complete).

And I haven't heard back from buddy and his 50 bikes.

Jer, I have a wheel for you, on the house.

For drop levers/inline to work with v-brakes I think you need a problem solver/travel agent. Are you going to set it up as as s/s with drops? If you want flat bars, I have 2 short, like 40cm wide flats bars if you want as well.

P.S. Very jealous your bike find.

Possibly.. Depends on if I get any out-of-town mountain biking plans going. Otherwise I might stalk Keith on the disc golf course.

Similar. I've been looking at getting some dedicated golf discs, but I'd like to get out this weekend as well.

Depends what size cogs your running. my ring, cog & chain are 3/32 no problems so far, but i here bigger is better!
Noise wise, i've been very unhappy with the 1/8'th stuff. My road bike was ninja silent on 3/32. And my chainline is 100%. I don't really see any reason to go to 1/8th over 3/32. Cogs/chainrings (especially 130bcd front chainrings) available everywhere in 3/32 and sram pc48's (3/32 chain) used to be $10 a pop from PBK.

As soon as I have enough money i'm ditching my 1/8 rear cog/chain for a 3/32 chain/cog combo. Can't really go wrong with either.

I'm off Thursday, coffee around noon? We can discuss your cooking class as well.

Those guys are cool, they solicited our company, but as we don't really advertise I asked if they'd consider a small ad for the BMEF for free and they were kind enough to include it = awesome guys. Their rates are low and they seem like they'll get a good review from the folk they're aiming at, maybe I should put an ad in there.

My 1/8th stuff is whisper quiet.. As long as it's clean/lubed anyway. *shrug* YMMV?

Speaking of stolen bike parts, anyone notice who's back justin time for fun season? Yeah that's right, El Cucaracha (Igor). Lame-o.

Last week I went to see Harry Shearer at the Drake (uhg). It was totally sick. Just him and his wife, with her playing piano and him doing a Derek Smalls in the background plucking the ol' bass. There were a bunch of ******bags in the back talking loud about expensive haircuts and clever coffee house names - one can only assume - while Harry was trying to do the intro. Half way through he says, "I'd like to thank you all for coming out tonight. All of you except THOSE IN THE BACK!" at which point he stuck the most awe inspiring Rev. Lovejoy pose and voice. It was awesome. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

Oh yeah, bikes. Anyone have a threaded stem they'd like to part with for minimal moola? I'm also looking for a crankset for this project bike if anyone has anything laying around.

I just can't bring myself to go inside the Drake... even though they appear to have some good shows sometimes.

Duppy and Keith.... you lucky lucky dogs. WOOF what a game!!!!! DAMN BOYS!!
Nifty discussion about cycling and cars on the way to work with one of Toronto's finest. I rode away vindicated with the promise he would check into the actual law. More on this later.

Of all the SF vids...I like this one the best, and OF COURSE TOBY can do the reverse spin circle....in his tighties to boot.
