How's your set-up.....when it's NOT "staged"???

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good thread idea. Here’s my Nashbar carbon/Ultegra I built up over the winter out for a ride today. Still keeping my trainer tire + Kinetic skewer on until the end of the month when I’ll finish up on a big project that’s keeping me from getting outside more.

This has got to be the best Nashbike I've ever seen. Well done! I'll only throw one "comment" in however....I have no idea why that style of bar tape is still legal....that's just me though.

Nice Canyon. Do you live in the states and if so how did you get a Canyon since they do not import from Germany?

Thanks! Haha yeah I'm definitely in the minority here, but wanted to give the splash tape a go on this one: a)just because. I don't mind the way it looks b) a nod to the early 90s era when I started cycling and c) cost me like $5.

A "don't stage your bike" thread full of staged bikes. On BF - who would have guessed.

To stage my bike all I have to do is remove the bottles. Everything else is exactly how I ride it.

If I'm going over 20 miles, there's another bottle on it. Other than that, nothing changes.

That's kind of a special bike rack, you know, so in a way it's staged, if you ask me.

Yeah, true, you're right - but since I don't have a kickstand attached to the thing I mean something had to hold it up.

400mm as is now ... 300mm was turned out to be too short for the saddle-to-bar drop I wanted to run (minimum insertion point issues).
Flexibility, yeah, it's nice to just fall over forward and rest on the handle bars. I find when I'm more upright it's actually more uncomfortable because like I'm holding myself up.
Like this it's a little more relaxed on the upper body for me.
