Which Brooks saddle..?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which Brooks saddle..?

Since I can't try any, I'll just have to guess.. I was tempted by the B17 Narrow Imperial, but then the B15 Swallow would fit the look of my bike better. Also, I read that if you have a substantial drop from the saddle to the handlebars, the swallow is a better choice, this is just something someone said though so, being the internet, it's almost guaranteed to be a lie.

My drop is maybe 10-15 cm, so I guess the B15 Swallow is well suited according to that theory.

What do you think..? Any Brooks veterans who know what the different models actually are suited for?

The Swallow is based on a '30's era Brooks racing saddle. It is the lightest and narrowest Brooks saddle. The Swallow would probably be your best choice.

Now I'm totally set on the Cambium C15 though! I don't have anything against maintenance etc (in fact I like maintaining things), but the rubber is better suited for a bike without fenders. Has anyone tried the C15, and maybe even both the C15 and C17 Cambium?

Bikes: too many sparkly Italians, some sweet Americans and a couple interesting Japanese

I have a c17 on my town bike with little drop and love it and a c15 which I found much better (narrow) for my Zurich with a 8cm drop. I also bought a second c15 thinking the better half would love it and it was rejected quickly. Her drop is about 6cm but she did not care for the saddle at all. Mind you I run mostly C&V and I love my old saddles, Concor, Regal, Turbo, etc. so YMMV.
