How come we never hear about de rosa frames ?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

although, i'm from the era, i fear, that the vision of the Italian craftsman sweating over an open briquette fire with a bottle of chianti in one hand and brazing torch in the other is a fading memory...

sing it Mario!

Because China sensors American message boards and forum, so the largest producer of De Rosa frames can't post here.

because a majority of people are blathering on about their specialized, trek, giant or
cannondale bikes.

Because their carbon bikes are made in China and are heavy and unimpressive

Personally, I love them. I think that they are one of the hottest looking bikes on the market. They are expensive though and I never see any shops that carry them.

I see De Rosas all the time at the specialty bike shops here in Japan, know one person with a carbon black one, and have spotted a few being ridden in the wild.

But then the funny thing is that the MOST common road bike brand I see on the cycling paths here is COLNAGO. Trek, Specialized, Giant, and Cannondale are relatively rare!

A vintage DeRosa will likely be my next bike. The modern ones? Why bother?

Right. They tried going modern with the CF King and flopped. It flexed, rode bad, was heavy and expensive. The only thing it had going for it was a nice black paint job.
