That's about what I do, and I consider it a lot. I do 20 miles, three days a week, and a maybe if I'm lucky a sixty miler on the weekend.
If you're holding a full time job and have a wife and kids, it's a lot.

120 miles is a bad week for me.
This year I'm making an effort to ride less, but at I higher overall intensity, and most weeks I ride around 225-250 miles.

I commute to work, which takes care of about 120 miles, but I do like the weekend morning rides, usually about 40-50 miles, so perhaps 160. Past three weeks I've averaged 200+ mpw, just from riding the bike to more places where I would normally drive.

I work full time away from home, 14 here 14 at home. When I'm home I try to do 200 a week at least because I have 14 days of no riding and just gym time. If I was home all the time working a 9-5 I might not ride that much per week, probably more like 150. Just depends I guess.

That sounds like a low average week to me. I ride 6 days a week in season, 20 Nike minimum a day. It works out to an hour workout, which is completely reasonable. In the winter I do an hour on the trainer every day, mileage be damned.

Last year 200 to 250 until I broke a bunch of bones.
This year 120 to 150 before nagging injuries bug me, and then need a few days off. I have to say though, it's a sweet spot where family isn't too annoyed and fitness is still pretty high.

120 sounds like a lot to me, but I don't log very many miles. Most of my rides are around 10 miles with an occasional hour thrown in for good measure.

150-200km per week seems to be the sweet spot for bike/life balance. I've managed 25km per week training this year.
Somehow I've managed to sneak in 200km per week of events though.

No, it's turrible.
What are you trying to accomplish and what kind of power are you putting out? It's all relative.

I ride 2 and sometimes 3 times a week. Currently averaging 100 mi./wk with about 6000 ft. of climbing. FWIW I also average about 15 mph.

Let us consult the almighty strava.
The June mileage challenge shows 193,669 competitors who have ridden a total of 94,775,505 kms so far. That's an average of 489km for each rider for the 29 days so far. That works out to an average of 118km or 73 miles per week.
Having said that I'm currently ranked 9,946 out of those 193,669 with an average weekly distance of 299km (186 miles).

+1, except we don't even have kids yet, just pets. Something needs to be sacrificed to get in more than ~100 miles a week when you have so many commitments, and in my case it's sleep.

That's a fine mileage number. I get that, maybe a little less every week but I also mountain bike. I can ride 15 miles on the mountainbike and put out the same energy as a 35 mile road ride, so it's all relative.
if I'm following a road training plan I don't even count miles (or speed), just power and time.

That's a decent average for the typical rec rider that wants to hang in the pack with their buddies. To stay more competitive most I know will put in 200+ miles/wk. I average 150-200 miles/wk if weather cooperates during the mid-week afternoon rides and family stuff doesn't get in the way of the longer weekend rides. My avg has been lower more recently. I just bought a jet ski so there's another fun distraction to lower my weekly miles, but it's a blast to explore our coast around once a week.

For those with other commitments like family, job, other interests and hobbies, that's a good level.
I live in an urban area with congested roads. With lots of traffic, lights, and intersections, I'm fortunate to average 15 mph riding time. There's also a lot of overhead with cycling like changing clothes, checking and maintaining things like air inflation and bike lube and getting drinks and food that needs factored into time. Then there's the changing clothes with shower at the end. So a 20 mile ride is close to two hours overall in terms of time. Even with a long ride with a higher average speed, that usually includes driving somewhere.
To me 120 miles a week equates to 10-12 hours.

I have no idea how many miles I put in. I train by time on the bike. I average about 10 hours a week.
If you talk with people who train a lot, time is a more relevant measure than distance.
