Tire size
Greetings! This is my first post (after introduction). I'm just getting into cycling and am really enjoying it. It's nice to find a place where there are others who have some similar passions.
I ride a Trek 930 Single-Track that I purchased in the late 90's. I never really used it much, but I'm making up for lost time. I'm using it more as a commuter/road bike right now and need to make a tire change. I am running "26 x 1.95 48mm fit H/E" knobby tires (or so the tire tells me). I measured the outside width of the rim (braking surface) and found it to be 0.843". I would like to go to more of a street tire; and was wondering about the smallest tires I can mount on my stock rims. What do you recommend?
Thanks!
