I have a Limar (107, I think) and really like the way it fits. I tried on a Decibel on Friday and it really didn't fit my head very well. I think the Specialized and Bell helmets are made for folks with rounder heads. Limar and Giro seem to be better if the sides of your head are flatter. YMMV.

I just grabbed a Bell in the $50 range which felt comfortable. I'm pleased with it even if it doesn't have a great pedigree

just bought a spec decibel myself (blue). super comfortable in comparison to the old bell (??) mtb i used to wear. with the rear retention system adjusted, i can hang upside down and the helmet hangs on even with the straps undone. (don't ask!!)

Limar 909
Fits better tan anything else I tried on- I don't have a Giro head I guess. Got it for less than online from the LBS.

giro atmos, fassa bortolo version. matches my bike.
I might get a Met Stradivarius II when I go to Japan next year, though, I won't be able to race in it since its not certified in the US.

Lazer Blade and some old Bell thing. The Lazer is quite nice -good fit and colors match my bike (blue/silver) - but if I wasn't able to buy it at a very cheap price I would have likely gone with the Bell Alchera.

I have the Trek Interval. Should I take the visor off for road riding/commuting?
I really don't like the helmet. The straps aren't in the right place for some reason. The chin strap is way too far back towards my neck. I also think it doesn't look very cool.
Is it wrong to WANT to crash so I'm forced to get a new helmet?

Bell "whatever they had on sale at Supergo", about $35. It has a visor, which I leave on all the time to give True Roadies something (else) to snicker about.
