Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Talked to giant dealer and they sell bmc also. They don't seem to veer away from msrp. Was going to get it if they would budge. Gf01 105

There's a reason for that.

There's also the idea of helping out a small business and building a relationship.

On that subject.. if the local BMC/Giant shop isn't budging from MSRP on a $3000+ purchase (and, I assume, additional accessories), maybe it's time OP looked around at some other shops.

If you are set on getting disks, you should wait a bit till after Sept's first UCI disk brake sanctioned race. Currently, a lot of the bikes have non standard disk brakes setup.

Those frames that BD sells are very well sorted out. For example, the $1300 Motobecane I bought was made in the same way and by the same company as the Kinesis UK (a very popular and respected brand in the UK) frame it replaced. Not bleeding edge stuff but few BD shoppers would care. (Some of us actually prefer more established design. Good example, the Turino Team I bought from BD has a popular 68mm BB shell which easily accepts the majority of replacement parts, namely the Shimano and FSA ones. My new-for-2015 Litespeed frame is "modernized" with a press fit BB which really narrows your crankset options or tosses the new owner into the confusing world of BBs with adapters.)

As far as helping out, where were you guys when my printing sales started to plummet about 8 years ago? Surfing the Internet?

You have to make that decision, Jared. Do you have access to all of them? Can you ride each one? Do you like the looks of one over the others? I think you should go with the BH at that price. You won't see one everywhere you turn on the road like you would a Trek. Of the three others I would go with the Giant but my pick is the BH.

Personal choice, you get to choose. Honestly, BH/Giant /Trek are all on the same path. Each stresses some minor point, unless I completely missed the email, to its supposed advantage. But I know next to nothing about you and what you want. (too lazy to research your previous posts).

No hostility here, just saying it's a bit like asking Chevy or Ford?

Bh would be my choice if they sold locally. ..my local bike shops only sell trek, giant, specialized, Cannondale aND BMC. BH is in my state...and the guy there has been great communicating with me...but he is 1.5 hrs away.
So basically routine tune ups wouldn't be practical to bring to him (free at local bike shops if you purchase from them ) hence tougher decision. Also can not find a medium in the advanced pro anywhere ...slim picking as 2016 bikes roll out

Tune ups are like a once a year thing. That wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if I could save 600 bucks. With the brands you listed have you been to Cannondale and looked at the Synapse? I think you could get a Synapse Disc Ultegra for around $3200. MSRP is $3790 on the 2015 model but it should be on sale.

Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc - SYNAPSE CARBON - ENDURANCE ROAD - ROAD - BIKES - 2015
