Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Difference in Performance Bib Shorts

Can any one tell me the difference between the Performance Elite, and Performance Elite "Lite" bib shorts.

https://www.performancebike.com/shop/....cfm?SKU=19894

https://www.performancebike.com/shop/....cfm?SKU=20203

I have 3 pair of the Elite, but I noticed the Elite "Lite" shorts are now $10 less. Has anybody tried both?

My local Performance store does not have the "Lite" version in stock.

Thanks,

Steve "Trying to Save a Buck" Caddel

Hey, man, sorry, but I don't know about those shorts in particular, but I did want to throw this out there. If you've received the latest catalog, Early Summer 2005, look on the back cover. Buy any bib/short, and get the second for half price. You have to call the order in and pay full retail price for the first bib or short. I just got 2 of the Ultra bibs, and they are very nice.

Thanks! I check my catalog. I just don't know whether to buy the lighter weight shorts or not. Maybe they would be good for the summer. Maybe I'll buy 1 of each.

I have a pair of the elite blue bibs..Very disappointing..The material is getting very thin..After not much wear...Rarely wear them..afraid they have become too see through.Odd thing is..Their regular century shorts..Have lasted a long time without any problems.
