Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ill definitely be there at D2R2, im gonna be trying to make a route to ride up there and maybe riding back too

Sure I say.

Haha, there is no "riding around up here" when you're already at the top. Five-ish miles of descending then we turned around and climbed back up and over Donner Pass again. So I've sort of done it twice now. Total of 27 miles and 2200 ft elevation gain. Easy chatty pace.

The lake in the pic is Donner Lake. We started a little below that. This pic is taken from a point on the climb in which we were almost-but-not-quite-yet-to-the-top.

So this little guy is pretty cute, don't you think?! Mini long haired cream Doxie. That way I will have a pair of blondish dachshunds:

Looks like he's easy to carry.

The guts of an 11 speed rear shifter, after being thrust into a sandbox.

It's already been through an ultrasonic parts washer with plain water. I may need to degrease it to get the sand unstuck.

Put it in the dishwasher.

Aren't you supposed to be resting for a CX race tomorrow?

It's apparent, you're using the wrong toys in your sandbox!
