Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Taupo thread

Anyone doing Taupo this year? I am very hyped for it

For anyone curious it is 160km around a lake in the central plateau of New Zealand, with butt kicking hills the whole way around. Around 8 thousand people do the ride, so it is awesome. I did it 4 years ago in 5.32 and this time I'm going to crack under the 5 hour mark.

Who else?
