That would not be the saddle of choice for the world naked bike ride.

Correct grasshopper. The cut-out is for the area behind the junk, the soft tissue enjoys the pressure relief while the so-called stiz bones carry the load, i.e the perineum, as mentioned above. If your junk keeps banging the nose, as I does for us alpha males, opt for the hooked nose SMP saddles that provide extra clearance up front:
