Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had to rig a step down transformer to get it to work as it was American, thus wired for 110. It was my one indulgence, and my biggest piece of furniture.

The stove/range was one of those bottle gas things you see all over southern Italy and Mexico. Anyone there who had what I have here in the US would immediately open a restaurant.

For heat, we burned coal in a woodstove-looking stove in our place in Italy. I don't remember what our fridge was like.

Damn, too bad it's not more in the 54x48 neighborhood.

The standing joke here is that all the guys i know who ride the same size frame as me can't really be my friends, but are just waiting for me to die so they can get at the bikes.

I know I am, ol' buddy, ol' pal.

You and I have shared some of your most memorable times here on BF, ol' pal.

Can I get you a coffee or anything?

This place is huge. I went for a walk and it took me an hour to wind through it all. There are multiple "trim" levels of timeshares here, they share facilities for the most part except you can only use the pools at your trim level or lower. There is a main entertainment complex, several bars and some shows at night. It's called the Santuario.

Grand Bliss lobby. The Grand Bliss is the second highest trim level at this resort.

Even the Buddah comes on vacation here, lol.

Just kidding. This is outside the Chinese restaurant at this resort.

Before I can wax eloquent on the depth of our friendship, I need to know what size you ride.

BillyD, you are a madman. When you stole that cow, and your friend tried to make it with the cow. I want to party with you, cowboy. If the two of us together, forget it. I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I'm gonna volunteer my leadership to this forum. A forum without leaders is like a foot without a big toe. And 3alarmer isn't always gonna be here to be that big toe for us. I think that we owe a big round of applause to our newest, bestest buddy, and big toe... 3alarmer.

Normally we are all over the adult pool concept. However, it's peaceful enough at the main pool which has better views. I'll get a pic today.
