See...I fault NYCC for this...they teach folks to strictly rotate in one direction, coming off to the left. Jackoffs.
It's all about the wind...well, almost.

my experience with any of this is strictly on this forum
biggest group ive ever ridden with is 3 and there was never any formal pulling or pacelining it was just
"ride bikes really fast and have fun"
or
"ride bikes in the woods kinda fast and have fun just dont die cuz its night time"

Just wondering who the rest of your group is, categorically speaking. Retiree? Other docs? Where do you find that many folks off on a Wednesday?

My group rides have yet to exceed 5 and is usually only 3. There is no rotation. The ride leader tends to just pull throughout. I've tried to jump up and pull for awhile, but then he falls back like 6 feet. The third guy never hops on a wheel close enough to make much difference for him and we tend to have to wait up for him once or twice a ride because of it.
I've thought about getting in on a ride that starts out of Eagan and has 20+ riders that split off into two groups. From what I hear though there are a LOT of sketchy riders and has been more than one crash. The ride is full of people braking in the paceline, half wheeling, and just being generally squirrelly racer wannabees with no situational awareness.
The one sales guy at the LBS told me he wouldn't do it at all since the riders kind of scare him, but he was locked in as one of the leaders. He said he just sweeps the ride since he doesn't want to be up near the other riders.

Billy, DO NOT, I repeat, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT look into the Cippolini thread.
(I warned you. Not my fault if you do it anyway.

Ugh. Got the flu shot this morning and then put in a couple hours on the audio rack (it's coming along!). Now some fatigue, from one activity or the other, has kicked in and I just want to go to sleep on the couch.

It seems to be widespread, this fatigued feeling after a flu shot. I know others who've felt the same. Plus a sore shoulder for a day or two.
