I cannot tell you how surprised and disappointed we were when we went to see "Cats" and discovered it was about...cats. WTF was he thinking?
Kind of like how on "Back to the Future" a studio exec wanted it to be called "Spaceman from Pluto" because of that one singular minute in the movie where Marty pretended to be an alien. He didn't think people would want to watch a movie about time travel. So people might not be interested in love stories from the turn of the century, but everyone loves dogs, right? Yeah, I'm at work on a Saturday and my mind is wandering. |

Most excellent club ride toady. The ride leader promised a "fall pace" which should have been around 18MPH...we came in around 20. It's all his fault. Of course the leader was me. :innocent:

Interesting how the dearly departed coasting used to call it gruel, which it clearly was not. And you refer to it as mush. Does no idy call it porridge anymore? Or maybe just hot cereal?
Mush is an entirely different thing. |

Best corned beef hash I've had in Vancouver so far. Eggs were nicely cooked, too. Super clean whites, pure as the driven snow. |

i had never heard grits called mush until addiction, porridge would be closer to a runny oatmeal IMO

Sure it is true that the term mush is reserved for the cornmeal variant at some places in the South. |

I went on a ride today. I logged miles in every month of 2015 (and 2014). Today's ride pushed me just over 2,300 miles for the year.

AG agrees; it was a highlight of the Ironman Texas trip this year and we're certainly going to be doing post-race dinner there next year as well. |
