Makes me want to write a musical called "Dogs" and have it be just a regular musical, but every character is a dog. Like it would be a love story set in the turn of the century, but everyone in the musical was an anthropomorphized dog for no real reason.

Kind of like how on "Back to the Future" a studio exec wanted it to be called "Spaceman from Pluto" because of that one singular minute in the movie where Marty pretended to be an alien. He didn't think people would want to watch a movie about time travel.

So people might not be interested in love stories from the turn of the century, but everyone loves dogs, right?

Yeah, I'm at work on a Saturday and my mind is wandering.

I actually hadn't thought about it. I had no idea what it was about, just that it had run on Broadway forever. But house cats are so anathema to me, so far removed from my idea of an interesting story...I was astounded...and except for the music, not terribly much entertained. I found the characters crawling all over the theatre to be kind of creepy. Great music to be sure. Anyway, I guess most folks don't think like I do.

Duh! Ya think?

Interesting how the dearly departed coasting used to call it gruel, which it clearly was not. And you refer to it as mush. Does nobody call it porridge anymore? Or maybe just hot cereal?

Most excellent club ride toady. The ride leader promised a "fall pace" which should have been around 18MPH...we came in around 20. It's all his fault. Of course the leader was me. :innocent:

I thought coasting was talking about oatmeal.

Mush is an entirely different thing.

Nice! The little lady and I rode the tandem down to the bagel joint, she got a bagel with ham, eggs and cheese on it. I got corned beef hash with over-easy eggs.

Best corned beef hash I've had in Vancouver so far. Eggs were nicely cooked, too. Super clean whites, pure as the driven snow.

A little crisp on the ride today.

i had never heard grits called mush until addiction, porridge would be closer to a runny oatmeal IMO

Well that's right. My point was it is just polenta or grits, a porridge or hot cereal. I never could figure out what coasting was referring to. His use of the term "gruel" suggested something thin and watery, but I know that isn't what he meant.

Sure it is true that the term mush is reserved for the cornmeal variant at some places in the South.

Actually porridge is the generic for any cooked cereal or even other starch like peas or beans made into a thck soup.

"Pease porridge hot..."

I went on a ride today. I logged miles in every month of 2015 (and 2014). Today's ride pushed me just over 2,300 miles for the year.

BTW the Giants have been playing in NJ since 1976. Some even call them the Jersey Giants.

Pizza Quality.

Although, I think NJ might beat out NY overall. I've had some damn good pie in NJ.

Looks like dandruff. He should use Head and Shoulders when he washes his bicycle bike.

Some heathens do that. TMQ calls them Jersey/A. He is heathen. We deigned to improve that state by storing part of our awesomeness there in an act of charity.

I can tell you, Texas pizza does not cut the muster.

Actually, that's a generalization; Gino's Pizza in the Woodlands is pretty durned good. AG agrees; it was a highlight of the Ironman Texas trip this year and we're certainly going to be doing post-race dinner there next year as well.

Is that a Gino's Chicago franchise?
