There is some awry with the world when there are more locked topics on the first page of the Touring forum than there are on the front page of this forum. I blame global warming.

I tried to impart my wisdom in the "supplements" thread but I fear it will fall on deaf ears.

As a two-time prostate cancer survivor, I get a newsletter from Northwestern about prostate cancer research and the most recent newsletter had an article on prostate supplements and how the latest study found none to do anything for prostate health but lighten your pocketbook.

I dare you to head over to the 50+ forum and post something along those lines. :innocent:

"They" say it won't be free forever. If that doesn't get you to upgrade now, I don't know what will. Jus' sayin'. :innocent:

I don't need to supplement my prostate. I've got too much already.

Hi! What's this thread about? Upgrading prostates?

Old folks hang out in the 50+ forum.

Exactly. I'm 64.5 and don't go near it for fear of catching an old man disease or a new ache and pain.

Mine was removed in 2003 but the cancer resurfaced in 2009 in the prostate bed. Treatments the second time around were worse than the removal. :(

Bingo.

After I went in there a few times, I had a hankering to walk over to McDonalds and drink coffee all morning.

Or go play pickle ball.

Have they tried garlic and whiskey?

Please forgive my attempt at humor. I did not mean to discount the seriousness of your illness.

My wife sent me a message saying she was off work Thursday-Saturday over New Years and wanted to go out of town. So, I booked us dinner and a show at the Acme Comedy Club and a hotel room down the street above a swanky big city town bar.

I'll install and OEM Windows 10 as well.

I just barely entered the current decade as far as cpus are concerned. Got a rig with a i5-2400. Pretty good upgrade over the Ol' A64 2500+

It's in a LoPro case so gonna pop everything into a mid tower so I can have a real psu and plug in the 8800gts

Curious to see what kinda fps gain I get with that vid card, even though it's a little long in the tooth.

Didn't think that at all. Just explaining about my knowledge of the illness. Your humor was fine. ;)

Actually I should time a Solidworks render and compare times, too.

When is the annual pissing contest thread going to be posted?

Yes, of course you are right. Thanks for the reality check.

Nah, you gotta do the right thing anyway. So the OP may not be ready to hear that, but surely somebody on that thread will hear your advice and will carry it forward and implement it. If you reach just 1 out of 10 it's an accomplishment. :thumb:

On Vampires, Netflix just delivered me "What We Do in the Shadows". I know that it was discussed here many moons ago, and I am hoping it will be entertaining.

You have been here enough years to know. But in case you forgot, there is usually a "post your mileage for the year and brag" thread in the 41 every December.
