This is close to problem free. Maybe next time it will be perfect. I would never have upgraded OS without buying a new computer in the past.

I'm one of those gear lunatics who's applied 30 years of guitar savvy to cycling. My ears are at the ground constantly... :roflmao2:

That's what I am thinking. But obviously I may need to eventually upgrade...

My Windows 7 build has been running trouble free for 5 years now. New CPU, GPU, and additional SSD sitting on my desk now...Time for the mid-life upgrade. i7 2600k to i7 3770k.

I'll install and OEM Windows 10 as well.

I did the W10 upgrade from 8.2 in the summer. No problem.

I plan my PC purchases around one level back from bleeding edge initially and anticipating a midlife upgrade to an essentially maximum configuration. After I upgrade my current build (I've been procrastinating because it is still humming along just fine) the next "machine" will be a paradigm shift from a high powered workstation to something decentralized and integrated with the technology in the house.

Fortunately . . . . . . . . . well let's just say I was blessed during all my commuting years. I'll knock on some wood anyway. ;)

I am pretty sure the Harpoon is still be produced and used. If it is, I'm sure it is a much different animal than what I remember.

You're the knucklehead who made that decision.

Wish they came in 26x2.1-2.4" #sixersforever

Art's has the 700c ones for $68 shipped, maybe they'll get 27.5 in soon.

LesterOfPuppets 12-16-15 12:25 PM

Here's the G-One link. Hard to find on the site - probably don't have it all hooked up yet.

Schwalbe G-One Tubeless Road Tire

They also got the shorter knobbed S-one there, it's easy to find on the site, already.

It's got cycling speed/cadence too, but I have my 'trusty' Garmin 500 for that.

I tried to impart my wisdom in the "supplements" thread but I fear it will fall on deaf ears.

No one wants to hear from some quack with a medical degree when they can get solid internet advice that aligns with their preconceived ideas.

WalksOn2Wheels 12-16-15 01:34 PM

Finally rode into work again today. It really is the best thing in the world, especially in the winter. I love empty roads on cold mornings.

The best part is that a co-worker saw my bike and said, "How far is it?" It's only about 6 miles. "How long does that take you?!" Only about 20-25 minutes. "It takes me longer to drive here!"

But the only solution is to have EVERYTHING ready in the morning so all I have to do is slap on cycling clothes.

Yes, of course you are right. Thanks for the reality check.
