Don't tell anyone.

I promise I won't tell. Don't they have some kind of weird handshake deal on the Roubaix name?

Too late. You've already begun looking and the train has left the station. No way to stop it now.

No. But in the spirit of true confessions,I did check my local CL for CX bikes. Slim pickings. Issue is I want a basic CX bike and budget is $600-700ish. It seems a decent one is more like 1K or slightly higher. Not ready for that much commitment. Used is probably better for me but I need something in the 58-61cm size range.

You're a doctor, just add a little extra to the next few bills.

The patients won't know and the insurance companies don't care that you padded the bill a bit.

You have to be disciplined to ride CX? Well forget that, then!

Collecting co-pays twice is sure fire. Bill 'em a month or two later . . . they don't even remember.

Now that's the idea. Think about it. Typically when you walk into the doctor office they want the co-pay. When the EOB shows up two months later it says "you may be responsible for the co-pay". BANG....send them a bill.

I know you are joking, but the sad truth is I can't adjust my reimbursement. I can increase my CHARGES but I still have to accept what I get based on Medicare or blue cross or Aetna etc pays. And those payments have not changed much if any in the past few years. So I am working more now and making about 20% less than a few years ago. It's still enough to pay the bills, but it is shrinking and likely to continue to drop.

Where's my violin when I need it?

And, sadly, that is going to be the trend for the foreseeable future. The result will be continuation of the trend that has already started. Fewer new doctors.

Mumonkan 12-24-15 08:29 AM

bought new pedals for the ECR cuz i missed the orange

and finally some booties and wind/waterproof gloves. ive only been saying i was gonna buy them for the last 3 winters. i hope they get here before the temps drop again for upcoming fatbike races

also think im gonna end up building up a totally chi-carb fatbike if i can do it for under 2k, just need to find the right hubs.

You are going to have to ask Ted and Mitch and Paul and Rand. They probably have a good answer to that question.

rpenmanparker 12-24-15 08:50 AM

Speaking of wtf, does an anthropomorphic name for one's bicycle improve its performance and the pleasure one gets riding it? "Simona"? "Adrianna"? "She"? "Her"?

65 deg F on 12/24 is totally unremarkable compared to that.
