And, sadly, that is going to be the trend for the foreseeable future. The result will be continuation of the trend that has already started. Fewer new doctors.

FWIW, I like your Christmas song, patentcad. A nice message, and it's easy to listen to. Very well done.

How is Commander Cody doing?

Speaking of wtf, does an anthropomorphic name for one's bicycle improve its performance and the pleasure one gets riding it? "Simona"? "Adrianna"? "She"? "Her"?
65 deg F on 12/24 is totally unremarkable compared to that. |

And so we have. Thanks for listening to the song, I was really down on Xmas this year and writing that song made me feel so much better. Amazingly therapeutic. People are connecting with the song too. All that being said music is a great hobby. Bad career. For every John Mayer there are thousands of reasonably talented musicians like some of my local friends trying to eek out an existence playing in bars, teaching, etc. I like playing out but very happy it's not how I'm trying to pay the bills. It does put gas in the Corvette however. |
Christmas light rides these days. Hopefully I am viz enough.
Merry Christmas Eve, yall'! http://i771.photobucket.com/albums/x...C3DB90444E.jpg |
Pretty cool pic. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and keep the rubber side down.

Goldens do range from 40 lbs to 100+ lbs. He's great, he's no Sam, but of course Sam was no Cody. They all have their own distinctive personalities, takes a while to fall in love with a dog.

34 road bike miles in the freaky warm/humid weather @ 7AM in the OC this morning. Should be 25ºF at dawn this time of year, it was 65ºF. Should be warmer tomorrow, hoping for an early AM Xmas 40+ miler. This completely, utterly rocks. Let the stupid ice caps melt and the coastal areas become uninhabitable. Road cycling is more important.

Merry Christmas to you all.
Living in an advanced part of the world means it's Christmas morning here. A bit wet though so I can't go for a ride just yet. Let's hope that for at least one day of the year the good people of the road bike forum can be nice to each other and not do their their usual schtick. |
You guys have a great holiday. My best wishes to you and your families...and your dogs...and your cats...and the fake, robotic drone eagles you keep around your house to take pictures of so we will all be impressed. Wait, I didn't really mean that last part.

Merry Christmas!

The run was not enough. I went out with 5 other clubmates and a did a quick 50 miles. Roads wet throughout but luckily first 30 miles no rain. We had a 10 minute shower which was at the rest stop, but with the rooster tails on the way home it could have been raining anyway. It was a gritty mess of a ride. 70 degrees on xmas eve. It was fantastic!

So after my ride I got to work doing some plumbing. What a real mess. I have nothing but admiration for professional plumbers.
Our kitchen sink has been backed up (drains VERRRRRY slow). No success with regular OR billows plunger. Next, I tried to snake the drain from the sink. It would not pass beyond 2 feet, there must be a 90+ degree turn under the floor. So after today's ride, I went into the garage where the line drains. Luckily, there is an access point about 20 feet downstream from the kitchen. I was able to get the snake into the clog and open it up. What a freaking mess. It wasn't like a toilet/sewer mess, but almost as disgusting. My wife is very pleased with the results and says we saved something like $200. I am going to (at least mentally) apply that $200 towards the CX bike fund. Merry Christmas to all. |
