His first film was a short called a Boy and His Bicycle. His late brother Tony was pretty good too, he did Top Gun, Days of Thunder, True Romance, Crimson Tide amongst others

Wow. That's a lot of Robin Hood movies. Which one is generally rated best?

Sigourney Weaver ruined it for me.
She tries to overact like Al Pacino but only Al Pacino can overact like Al Pacino and get away with it. |

As I noted above, he has a new film coming out called Felt. Perhaps that is a clue as to what he rides.

True. (To this day I can't figure out why Kevin Costner couldn't adopt an English accent.)
His version of Wyatt Earp was pathetic, and it only looked worse next to Kurt Russell's... |

I think it was Ben Stein that said if you fancy yourself a movie critic, and Bladerunner isn't in your top 5, you are a hack.
Couldn't agree more. :) |
Tony Scott's "True Romance" is my favorite movie of all time.

What's this thread about?

Yes, yes, Ridley Scott... the old geyser that's about to totally eff up the Prometheus sequel....

I read an interesting story about the whole Alien prequels he is doing. He obviously had the chance to make Aliens before James Cameron but he was above doing sequels at that point in his career. Looking back he wishes he did sequels at the time. Although I personally think the first 4 all turned out good and I like the different takes on the franchise by different directors. Cameron went with full on 80s action movie. Then you have Fincher doing what he did with Alien 3 which was universally hated by fans because they were expecting another action movie and he gave them a prison planet with no weapons but in retrospect it's a great movie. And then the Jeunet/Joss Whedon Resurrection movie which I also think didn't get the respect it deserves. But I am interested to see where Ridley takes the series now |

Because he can't act to save his life.
I was riding in SD back in June and kept hearing him say "tatonka" every time I saw a buffalo. |

It's up there. There was some sort of re-relase several years ago. Maybe it was for an anniversary. Saw it on the big screen with great sound. Fun experience.
Just about flawless. Imagine a story where both heroes and villains are equally beautiful. |

No need to get all Huffy about it.
I used to live in Dunwoody. Spring Creek Crossing apartments on Roswell Rd. The traffic is unreal. I'd duck into a nearby watering hole after work to avoid it. I drank a lot back then. :D |

Prometheus-like, I bring news of such innovations as left turn signals that allow more than one car to pass per cycle, induction loops, and shoulders!! It is possible not to have the entire city shut down every time there's a Black Rain or a White Squall!! |

Nah, most of the roads were cowpaths before cars came along, and then the cars followed the cows.
Unless, of course, they let the cows set up the timing on the stop lights. That seems fairly likely, come to think of it. |

The developers were allowed to build bazillions of houses without being required to upgrade the original farm roads (FM stands for Farm to Market)... |
