Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

racing in Illinios

Hi,

Can I ask you racing heads to tell me what the road racing sense is like in and around Illinios. I'm moving from Ireland to Illinios soon and would like to hear about the racing sense over there. What type of races, stage races, crits, how big are the race bunches etc etc.

I'll living in the Des Plaines area so any info a clubs would cool.

Thanx and hope to meet some cool American racing people soon.
