Anyone using the Performance cargo case?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ok so Performance, Nashbar and Supergo all sell the same bike box that doubles as a car top carrier. I am going to need a bike box for transport of my bike form PA to TX for the Ride for the Roses in Oct so I am shopping now. Any other suggestions for reasonable rates. Box must be able to be taken on a plane (obviously not carry on).

Thanks

Oh and any clue why the one from Performance is so much cheaper than the others? It is clearly the exact same box with 3 different prices.

I used the performance bike luggage. It's strong and solid, but it's big as hell man. I flew, so I can't tell you about driving in a car.

Thanks for the feedback Koffee. It is interesting to me in that it can be rack mounted as well as simply be a bike box. My main need is to be able to travel my bike to TX so I am guessing it will fit the bill. I have traveled with a pro golf hard case so I know about big cases and how they can be a PITA. Full size golf hard case fits in no car trunk I have found and BARELY fits in a back seat of a lot of cars.
