questions about some bike models, disc brakes, also adding cross brake levers
Been looking into some cross/adventure type road bikes and would like some opinions on them. I currently have a Giant Escape 2 hybrid type bike: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us...specifications
First one is from bikedirect, the Gravity Avenue D: Save up to 60% off new Disc Brake Road Bikes - Gravity Avenue D | Save up to 60% off new road bikes
Would it be possible to add cross/top bar brake levers to that bike? Would you expect it to shift and brake at least as well as the Giant? Bikesdirect has some other models with cross levers but I like this style of frame.
Second bike is a Specialized Diverged, probably this one: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bi...erge-a1/106656
Same question, could cross levers be added? The components are still pretty low end, but if they are reliable and function well that's enough for me.
Last one is a Giant Anyroad: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us...2/22191/84011/
That already has extra levers, so just wondering what y'all think of that particular model.
Re disc brakes, do you the ones on these bikes would work well? Be easier or more difficult to adjust compared to caliper brakes?
Also if you guys have recommendation on other models let me know. Looking to get a road bike that would be more comfortable over long rides, while still having fenders and being a good everyday bike. My current max on the hybrid is about 60 miles, would like to get that up to 80 or even 90. My main requirements are that it has to have cross levers or able to have them added. And it must be possible to add full fenders, front and rear. Would also like tires that are between 28mm-35mm wide with commuter type tread, willing to change them if necessary.

In general, interupter brake levers will take away some breaking power from the primary brifter brake levers. But you could add interupter/cross/top levers to any bike using cables. If it's hyrdraulic brakes you can't use them
