Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

klein quantum ii - steering wheel problem

Hi I just bought my klein quantum ii however, I have a problem with setting him under me.
steering wheel is too low I tried the standard knock up but it did not help.
I wanted to ask if there is some "special" thing I need to do? or maybe I have to hit harder ?

You loosened the bolt before whacking the stem right? Loosen it more, whack harder.

Good luck...

It can be useful to apply a light lubrication into the stem/column joint. It can also help to loosen the headset locknut. The headset locknut may have a seal and prevent any fluids from getting to the column. The bond material is typically of an alkaline base. It can help to use a mild acid to weaken the bond, such as lemon juice or some soda pops. Allow some time for the acid to work.

Can you post a picture? The Quantum ii could be either threaded or threadless headset depending on the year it was made. The adjustment procedure is very different between the two types.
