Gripe about fizik arione saddle
After riding curvy saddles a couple years realized I would be better off with a flat top. I like changing positions on the saddle.
Tried a selle slr and prologo nago, both decent but I wanted a longer saddle to be able to scoot fore and back a but more. Read about the fizik arione, sounds perfect on paper (screen) at 300mm long vs typical 270-280.
However, that extra 2cm is hanging off the back and you cant sit on it at all. The effective length of the arione is the same as my prologo or slr. As in from nose to The wide part is The same. The extra length of the fizik is just dead weight.
Here's the prologo atop the arione R3, you can see the extra length is all in that tail
they both work pretty well but have the same effective length. Arione does not have any more room to sit on despite their touting of extra length

Woman make me faster
Who said it gets used?
Seriously, I have never thought about the point being brought up, I can say my Arione R1 has been great. I notice I sit forward a little and slide back on the saddle depending on what type of riding I am doing. Climbing, sprinting or just riding along I find comfort in what ever position on the saddle I am at. I might add my position may only vary by an inch fore and aft. Not sure how far back you need to go.

I have nothing to add to the thread but just want to say that both those saddles saddles look killer.
The Prologo has a classic look while the Arione has a more modern look, like and F22. I'd ride either.
