Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

changing bar sizes....

i have 75 mm reach with 130 mm drops now, i was gonna swop to 80 mm with 125 mm drop....I mainly making this change to change color and a few grams....

so my question is ...would this change my fit much? I think it would be fine but as I noticed screwing with my saddle for months some small changes can be big

It changes your fit by about 5mm. Stems usually come in 10mm increments.

I think the obvious question would be why you'd switch bars to one with different dimensions if you're not looking to change the fit?

I think it depends on whether you'd rather drink in a quiet, intimate environment where "everyone knows your name" and people will basically let you do your think in the fashion you like, or if you prefer a changing crowd, seeing new people, having more opportunity to make romantic liaisons ... oh, wait, .... never mind.

Not for the pros... look carefully and you'll see this is 121mm for Geraint Thomas.

C'mon man. Color, it's all about the color.

It's really hard to tell from just the measurements alone, because 75 mm on one bar can easily amount to more reach than 80 mm on another, depending on the exact shape, how it's measured by the manufacturer and how it's set up. What are the two bars in question?

A 5mm reach difference is easily negated by a slight shift in brifter position on the bars. Take measurements before you remove your current bars and adjust the new ones to match. Shouldn't be too hard to get an exact fit.

This is superfluous to the discussion per context, Mr. Fred.
