Vain, But Lacking Talent
I dated a girl in college who wouldn't go to class without first partaking in said activities, she said it made her more curious.
She's now a neuroscientist studying cannabinoid receptors in the brain. Go figure. Rumors of its lazifying effects are greatly exaggerated, IMO.

I think a lot of people would be surprised to learn how many gainfully employed professionals smoke pot. (I'm not one either and would not be even if I were not subject to random drug testing.)

And gullible as I am, I thought that was going to be a serious suggestion of one of the 150-600s.

Not for nuthin', but the HED/Schwalbe tubeless combo is a friggin' pain in the butt to mount. Curiously, the first bead is the more problematic of the two.

Bummer. I am a hernia surgery survivor. The repair did not impact my cycling activities.

Maybe I shouldn't have uncorked the legs just yet, but it was cool and crisp and perfect this morning and I didn't want to waste the opportunity. New PR on my nearly-dime course: https://www.strava.com/activities/884947720/overview

TLR, get your surgery at Shouldice, Toronto. Robotic surgeons there are better than any surgeon in US at hernias. Even the best surgeon in US pales in comparison to their worst robot surgeon.
Speaking of hernias. There is a great book Complications, it's by a surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital here in Boston, he's toured and given interviews nationally and internationally. Anyway, one of the complications he talks about, good surgeons is often about repetition. He was discussing the pros and cons of automation, computers and robotics in medicine, and there is evidence, surgeons who operate as robotics, computers are better in their specialties.
Apparently in Toronto, Shouldice is the world's best place to get Hernia repaired. They do 7,000 a year. It's all they do. Many of their best surgeons come from completely different backgrounds, such as pediatric and internal medicine. These surgeons are better than any surgeon in the United States when it comes to hernias. The operations take 50% less time and and have near perfect success rate. Whereas in US, many hernias often are not successful or at a later time, rear their ugly heads again.
How cool is that? Maybe we should replace doctors with robots? Cause this book also discussed that a computer in the 90s was better at reading EKGs than even the world's best cardiologists by error margin of 20%!!!! Think about that, 90s, what can computers do now in 2017? Even for overall diagnoses, computers have proven to be better than best doctors. Now attach that to a robotic arm that has no fears, tremors, no accidental slips, no accidental leaving tools inside a patient etc.

Correct. In the legal community where my wife works, it's pretty rampant. Though it seems to be more common on the plaintiff's side than on the defense.

On the "Oh, Poop!" front, my club's self-appointed news reporter put out a notice along with an obituary link for a deceased club member who is NOT dead and merely shares the same name as the deceased.

You heard it here first. A giant meteor fell from the sky carrying GREAT SAVINGS OF UP TO 75% compared to brand-name bikes. They never stood a chance in the face of that much bang for their prehistoric buck.
