Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just off off the cuff I would say we pick up a couple or three regulars every year. And likely lose that same number.

Been doing it myself with the Kitchen Aid attachment. With a little practice it works very well. I wish there were more cutters included. You can buy another one with two more widths, but it is pricey. My only complaint is how brittle the pasta gets when dry. I just don't know why. Because of the mess I like to make it in advance, so to be able to clean up afterward especially if for guests. But if it gets dry, it is really hard to keep it from breaking. Not at all like packaged dry pasta. On the plus side the taste and springy texture are as good as I have ever had anywhere.

LesterOfPuppets I found your new Wyoming machine.

My mechanic has a farm and besides doing some occasional deer hunting, has to travel to a remote part of his property which is easiest to get to with some sort of ATV.

Tested it again briefly today, same numbers. It just makes no sense because I get dropped by guys in races with far lower thresholds. Maybe I just can't handle surges? Idk.

I was, too, until my son called and wanted to go out to lunch with him and his family. I was heading out the door when he called. I'm hoping to still get out before the latest ice storm rolls in.

I heard about a modern biathalon in Idaho? I think. Basically mountain bikes instead of cross country skis, and modern pistols/rifles instead of bolt action 22's. I bet it's a hoot.

I feel badly for Tony Romo. In an interview today, Jerry Jones called him "a backup quarterback that's got a good chance to do some good things out there too." But Jones also used the phrase "you better circumcise the mosquito" at a different point in the conversation so maybe he wasn't thinking clearly. At the same time, that's gotta suck.

Most important thing to remember is we all love cycling. That no comment, no matter how rude or insulting , is meant seriously, and that never, ever is something said worth leaving over. Have fun, enjoy the flow, don't try too hard, and never, ever, ever piss of the Pope. He alone has the power of banishment and consignment to the cleansing flames of purgatory.
Btw, Pcad is the pope.

It's very nice at first but when the serious pressure kicks in, it turns on you and starts making you dirty instead of clean and eventually most of the water just gives up and entirely disappears.

If we have access to the cleansing flames of purgatory, why are people wasting time with French showers?

Occasionally I experience moments of mild dyslexia. I read this the first time and my brain flip-flopped those two words. Oddly, the sentence still works.

Pay no attention to those B-team announcers doing Saturday's games. They're just trying hard to make the varsity.

If you do, can you punch Jon Gruden in the face also while you're at it? Please please please?
