Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks. The bike was built shortly before he started milling his own dropouts. Now, they have the Engin logo on them.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah I snapped the pic while stopping at a bathroom on my ride yesterday, lol. I'll post a drive-side shot soon. I re-wrapped the bar tape today, used a semi-dark blue which I like better than the black. Also picked up some Race Lite tires I'm gonna install, as well as getting rid of the rear tube which has a WAY too long valve stem on it.

Your photo reminded me of his work.

If you have not then check out his book "Mountain Light."

Sure do. That man went to great lengths to capture a lot of his photographs.

Here's another POTD from my favorite place in TX.

Nature will almost always beat bike parts. But I know where to go to see nature pictures. I would appreciate more bike related POTDs...

Yes. Also cool big ring. Just shows a bit how crazy kid and I are.
Fine tuning the weight, the aerodynamics and making sure it would stay on.
We had to go to heavier wheels, steel skewers, steel cassette. Adding weight can be tough.

Assorted groups & singles. The pic shows less than half of the bikes that were there at that moment.

It's a popular spot.
