Debris in the crank?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not being mechanically minded....anybody hear of this?

That mystery clicking noise returned on my new Klein during my 26-mile ride today. Yesterday my LBS said the bottom bracket was a little loose and they tightened it. No noice for the first five miles today, then it was back.

Took the bike back in today and they speculate debris in the crank or a loose screw. He'll take it apart and clean it up. Heck, the bike only has about 400 miles on it!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think Klein is made by Trek
I have a Lemond, which I know is Trek builds, with about 900 miles on it, and I have a strange clicking in my crankset too. I tighten, it stops, I ride 30-40 miles, its back. BTW I have all Shamano Taigra/105. In any case, maybe something to do with the bottom brackets?

You are correct I believe.
My guys at the LBS are stumped too.
They took it apart, put it back together. No clicking. But then they said they could hear it again while riding in the parking lot. It almost sounds like the tip of a shoestring hitting the frame if I had to best describe it. Not a biggie, but I'm anal when it comes to an expensive bike making strange sounds I don't understand.
