Picking up new bike in a few hours?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Picking up new bike in a few hours?

It's an 04 Orbea Volata with Campagnolo Mirage components throughout. Its the black one with a little bit of orange. I also got speedplay stainless steel petals, and shimano shr130b shoes. The petals and shoes are on order, but I'll pick up the bike tonight on the way home with some cheap petals on there. I got the whole package bike, shoes, petals for $1330. I dont know if thats a good deal or not. It seemed fair. I took the bike on a 20 min run and it handled wonderfully. The bike is set up differently then the other bikes I road today, the fuji, the trek, lemond, etc. I wasn't familiar with the Campagnolo Mirage compnenets either since, everyone was telling me shimano 100 components. But the guy at the bike shop assured me they were good stuff. I dunno, you guys tell me? Is this a good deal? Anything else I should ask for/look out for?

thanks

Congrats on a new bike! I'm sure you'll love it. Shimano/Campy is pretty much a personal preference, but most people (who aren't trying to get you to buy a bike) prefer Campagnolo. Campy makes great stuff, so I think you made the right choice. Overall it sounds like a great setup, congrats! Oh, and don't forget to post lots of pictures of the new ride!
