Microfiber covered seats

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Microfiber covered seats

Heard they grip your riding shorts but do they hold up many years?

Why would you want the saddle to grip your shorts? Sounds like a way to induce chafing...

For grip and durability, also take a look at the Brooks Cambium line of saddles.

If you tilt your saddle down to be like some of the pros you might want some grip on the saddle. If you adjust it like most sane beings you shouldn't be sliding off the nose.

You can add grip to any saddle with some 3M adhesive spray.

I really like Fabric's saddles, and have put Scoops on a couple bikes. The tiny bit of extra friction from the microfiber (feels and looks smooth) keeps me where I want to be in shorts that are otherwise pretty slippery.

They do creak a bit because of the design, but they are my go to saddle now.

I want less friction down there, not more.

A grippy saddle sounds awful.

3M Dual Lock is a much better way to go. That stuff is strong enough I've used it to stick fire extinguishers to the wall

Microfiber can seal in the flavors. Just say no.
