Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Observations on new Tarmac Comp coming from 1983 bike...

well here is my old bike...schwin tempo

its obviously much stuffer (but a better more comfortable ride), lighter rolls much smother....

on my old bike 111 cad was kind of the point where it felt i was spinning to fast and on the edge of my legs getting out of control.....and i would usually avg like 98 cad....witht he new bike 95 already feels like im getting close to that point...and today i avg 81 cad....is it maybe that there is that much less friction?

also got really bad hoot foot/spot...thar i was not getting as bad on the other bike....bt im using ONZA mtb pedals with mtb shoes....new specialized pro carbons and Ti Zeros should be here by end of this week....think its b\c of the stiffer bike...lesss energy lost?

very very happy...there is just no comparison...

It's obviously the computer mount - on the Schwinn you had it where you should have it. Well known to cause a hot foot issue.

So where are the pix of the new bike for everyone else to see?

Did you do the Ben Century today? I woke up early and did a Key run before hitting the bay. That makes 115 miles and a 4 mile run for the three days. Met a cute biker who embarassed me on the bridge but was good to cruise with. Eat your heart out!
