I did a charity century where they were serving salted cod at the rest stations. One of the more experienced riders recommended that I stuff a couple of the filets in my bidon to replenish electrolytes. I finished the metric quarter distance in under 5 hours so I think it was solid advice.

We did something like that with the school lunches in grade school & we never ran out of energy, so I guess it is good. |
