Watch Out For The Air
Well if dodging cars wasn't enough, from today's NYTimes now we have reason to be conscious of the air we're breathing while riding.

Not that being concerned about the air is something we never thought of, but this gives some of us a little more to worry about . . . you know, in addition to waving, flats, BB creaks, CF explosions, and cars.

Our city uses CNG- powered buses... they certainly smell better when following than a diesel, I wonder what the pollutants are like in comparison?

Sometimes there are winds from China that bring filthy air here. It's so bad you can physically see it, and it leaves cars dirty. It's likely I'm riding on those days since I commute.

Wow that's horrible, and all that pollution eventually winds up in the ocean and in the seafood we eat.

Does the air affect us more when we ride two-abreast? Maybe we should all be riding single file so only the first in line has to cut through the pollution.

Also, air makes you slower. Even with fancy wheels.
