So I'm 59 years old, perfect credit score, then yesterday I bounced the first check in my entire life. Wrote a check to the IRS and then spaced out and forgot to transfer the money from savings to checking. Either they routinely re-deposit it (that's my assumption) or IRS Blackhawk choppers descend on Mt. Doom and the IRS Commandos repel down the ropes, apprehend you and whisk you off to Guantanamo for interrogation and overly spicy Cuban cuisine designed to intimidate you further still.

This thread is already becoming a refuge for those jaded by the crass hijacking of the original Addiction thread started by Pcad nearly a decade ago by crass fredly commercial interests. They yearn for a more pure Velo bull**** experience, a return to the values that fueled the growth of Addiction and eventually destroyed it for those of us in the True Forty One.
Gather round my little fredlings. You are in the wilderness no more. You were lost but now you're found. You were dropped but you worked the team cars just right, avoided the commissar's 200 Euro fine and have regained the peloton before depleted main field starts winding it up for that suicide sprint with the roundabout and the 110º right hander over the cobbles @400 meters. In short, you've made it back just in time for the massive crash. |

Pound for pound the fastest track car you can buy in a new car showroom at the moment- from any manufacturer, the cars regularly turn faster lap times than pricey mid engine Euro sleds with more hp. I drove a 718 Cayman S around the time I bought the C7. Feels more like the archetypical small sophisticated Euro sports coupe. Equipped like my Z-51 Stingray, the sticker was $10K higher, but the drive it home price was about $13K higher. Porsche was higher quality (Porsches are the highest quality cars sold in USA at the moment in my opinion) but the Corvette was only 20% crappier, not half as good as it was with the C6. And the Corvette motor is (much) better. The Z-51 Stingray is also faster around a track than a Cayman S (I can cite a couple of sources for that). The new Corvette is so improved in so many ways, just more world class. You can make moves in my current car that would have put you in weeds with the C6. That being said I did love the Cayman S. This thread is a poor imitation of the great Addiction. Addiction rules. I don't know who this pretender pcad is, but he will never start a thread as good as Addiction. Just give it up, Dude. Know your betters and respect them. That is all.

How long does pcad think he can fool us with enlarged pictures of a Matchbox model of a 'vette?

GM Facing Class Action Lawsuit Over C7 Corvette Z06's Cooling Issues - Corvette: Sales, News & Lifestyle It would interesting to see what the relationship is like between those affected with the reduced on-track performance and their insurance company. Most will drop you in a heartbeat if they find out the car is put on a race track. Save |
