Strava Button Problem?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Strava Button Problem?

Anyone else having a problem with the button at the top of the page which allows one to toggle between clubs, Following, My Activities, etc.?

I click it and the menu drops down for just a moment and then disappears. Same behavior on two different browsers.

I usually only use that button on the Android phone (Following/You).

But, I don't have a ton of followers either. The "I'm Following" pull-down menu on the PC (Firefox) Strava doesn't seem to be working for me today either.

So.. report it as a BUG.

Haven't noticed any problems Saturday on the iOS and Android versions. Don't think I've checked the PC browser version today.

No Strava problems in Chrome other than the usual Google, nonsense, where it decides to log me out of things at completely random intervals, for absolutely no reason.

Speaking of Strava problems, has anyone else had it mysteriously add people to your follow list who you didn't follow?

I've had four or so in the last month.

Ah-ha! I see the problem now in Chrome. The "I'm following/My activities" button, mid-screen at top, is buggered.

Presumably they've received a few zillion complaints this weekend and will have it fixed Monday.

The other pull-downs are working fine in Chrome. And everything seems to be working normally in the Android and iOS apps.

The box changes colors with hover, but doesn't open or change options.

It seems to rapidly flash the choice "My Activities" when I release the mouse button after clicking the box, but it is too quick for me to actually do anything.

Oddly, looking at the page, I see my last 3 rides at the top of the page, followed by several rides of my followers, then rides for September seem to be more mixed.

I wonder if the change was actually to reduce the need for that button by bringing one's recent personal rides to the top of the list.

Strava always seems to suggest that I add new followers. Unfortunately I got mixed up a bit, and added a person up in Portland that I met on one of my rides up there, so now all the suggestions of people to follow are 100+ miles away.

So far, I haven't had it mysteriously add new followers without me either clicking on someone to add, or accepting a request to follow. And, I don't see an option to add followers without a confirmation.

Apologies. I misunderstood which button you guys were discussing. Mine behaves exactly as Clifford describes above. Sorry for the distraction

Does anyone have any workarounds?

The people I'm following and my own rides can be accessed via the simple URL...My activities only can be viewed by appending ?feed_type-my_activity to the URL as shown below...Clubs can be accessed by going to the stava.com/club/name_of_club as shown below. Substitute name_of_club with your club's name and then selecting the Recent Activities link to see the individual rides.Any other tricks or URL's to work around the issue?

Use the App on your phone. Works fine.

The drop down menu now appears when the button is clicked but when anything in the menu is clicked it takes me to an error screen.

No, a workaround is a temporary alternate way to avoid the problem and get the same result.

Workarounds are for Apple and Google. You know, companies that tell you what you want rather than asking.

Strava is fixed now.

Strava is not Apple or Google. Strava actually fixes ish when they break it.

Apple? HA. Try finding the setting in your iphone to "never send txt messages out of order". Or to export text message conversation to a file. Or to even admit that a file on a removable memory card is a reasonable thing to want!

Apple at its best is at least an order of magnitude worse than Microsoft at it's worst.
