Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

https://www.bsn.com/Cycling/ergobike.html However, the one night I tried it, it didn't work. YMMV.

Don't know in general the most complex or most sophisticated, but you asked specifically about femur and tibia length. Competitive Cyclist's Fit Calculator does make that distinction.

The same dimension is measured differently by different bike manufacturers and it changes with different types of bikes too. Unless you can translate this it does not mean much.

Having just gone through the process with two different fitters, I would be very hesitant to rely just on what a computer spits out. While the initial recommendations of Fit Kit and other systems is helpful as a starting point, I would suggest a Serrotta fit specialist or Waterford/Gunnar assuming that both have a fit-cycle where you can take the suggested geometry and see how it feels while pedalling as well as having someone look at your position on the bike to look for problems.

I just found this. Looks very complicated and in depth. If difficulty==precision, then you'll love it:

Remember that any fit system that does involve you actually riding your bike is going to be just a starting point.
