Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've finally got pictures of my mini road bike project for my son. A friend of mine shipped it back from California. It is a Pinnacle (Free Spirit/Sears). Cheap components and steel wheels but the cool thing is, it has a lugged frame. I'm redoing everthing. I've already built of a set of Alex D390 mini rims laced to Shimano hubs. I'll post more pictures as the project goes along.

Sorry my pictures are too big and I can't seem to make them smaller. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Regarding picture size, resizing is a software issue which you need on your computer or depending on your camera you may be able to do it in camera.

I use Adobe Photoshop software which is expensive but there is cheap or even free software out there. Often free photo manipulation software comes bundled with printers or scanners.

The next issue is how to use it. Do you have any software?

You could try out GIMP... https://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ I use it at home and it works quite well.

Assuming you are a Windows user: I just use Microsoft Paint (it comes with most new computers). Resize the image and then edit the number of pixels until it is small enough. Save the image and then go into Microsoft Pictures and click "properties." Check to see if the photo is under 100 KB and repeat this process if it isn't. That's what I did to make my avatar out of a full size photo.

There are such things as 20" road bikes, or at least were. A kid up the street had one, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
