Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

+1 for Trek.

Two big reasons - it appears to fit you better. That is a about 75% of choosing a bike, IMO.

The second reasons is that you can deal with a lot of the smooth ride issues by tire selection.

I agree with this. Seems like neither will be a major upgrade from what you have already. The next step up is about $1000 more though.

My new bike has hydraulic disc brakes. Took my old bike (105 rim brakes, kool stop pads) out the other day for a training ride. Oh my!

Love the new brakes!

Domane. I have a 14 (without the front shock) and it is a great bike that has given me many hassle free, comfortable miles. For me, I love that rock solid feeling when going downhill.. The bike just rides right.. Also, I like the component line up better than the Roubaix. I have never tried a Roubaix though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt

Good luck!
