Are shimano bb compatible for FSA gossamer bb30? What bottom brackets can fit fsa gossamer.

I have a different FSA crank, and it is built to Sram standard---22-mm shaft on one side, 24-mm on the other, so I needed a BB30-Sram. Yours, specifically ... check wi the manufacturer. Should be on the FSA website somewhere, or send them an email.

OP, not exactly. You need an adapter to go from BB30 to Shimano. Your bike shop should know what you need.

To my knowledge, Shimano does not make a BB30 compatible bottom bracket. FSA has both bb30 and "Mega Exo". Mega Exo should be compatible with a Shimano BB, but BB30 (and BB386) absolutely will not fit.

So here's the important part.... if you're frame came with a Shimano crankset (especially if it's a press fit BB), it's entirely possible that you will not be able to install a true BB30 crankset as the spindle is too short. If the crankset is actually BB386, you *should* be able to find a compatible bottom bracket, but you still won't be able to use a Shimano.

Probably would be better to know exactly what you're trying to do here and what bike you have. Are you trying to replace a Shimano crank with a FSA, or are you trying to find a replacement BB for your Gossamer?

My Cannondale came with a BB30 FSA crank and I had to get an adapter to convert it to Shimano as the bb was plagued by creaking.. At first I tried just using a push-on type but that did not last. I eventually converted it with a bb from praxis. I have had no issues in 3 years and no more bb-30 creaking.

Another bike I have came with a Campy tapered crank. I put external cup Ultegra bb (22mm) and am running a vintage look FSA Mega-exo crank.
