Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Check out the new review on Cycling Tips

Sorry I can't post the link until I have 10 posts on the forum. There's a new review of these shoes comparing them to the R1 infinito Fizik knit shoes over on Cycling Tips. Hope this helps.

I have both the Empire ACC and the Empire SLX, which feel the same except for the SLX being a little lighter and more breathable. I ditched my Sidis for these. I suspect the knit version will be cooler and they also look cool. I slightly wonder about long term durability, but they haven't been out long enough for that. I'd go for them if I were you (and who knows, maybe I will).

Yes - I love them. My feet are kind of difficult - high arch and wide foot. Not a lot of options for me. These are very, very good shoes. I love them. Not sure how long they will last but given the comfort, I am willing to pay.
