Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tour De Blast

Anybody from Wa/Ore planning on doing The Tour De Blast? . I've heard great things about this ride and have wanted to do it for some time and for once my schedule is open.

I'm doing it tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be nice. I'm psyched.

Last year I had a freewheel failure at about 20 miles in. Now I have new wheels

It was a great ride - well supported, excellent road surface, pretty low traffic, and fantastic scenery. Hard climbs and fast descents. Highly recommended.
