Cannondale Supersix Evo Wheel Alignment
Hey guys,
Just bought this frame used.
What do you think about this chainstay wheel alignment?
Frame trashed?

I tend to doubt that the frame is bent or warped. Does carbon fiber warp or bend? I don't think so, but I'm certainly not sure. I'd have your trusted LBS look at it.

I hope the frame is not defective, don't see any signs of a crash. The wheel sits so that the axle end caps sit roundly in the dropout on both sides, the way it was intended.

Have the same picture (with chainstays) while bought my 2015 Cdale in LBS. Do you feel any issues in bike behavior when cycle? If no, forget about it and enjoy. It's what I did. It looks like chainstays are not symmetrical for this frame.

If you google it you’ll find there have been a lot of reports of misaligned rear dropouts on Evo frames, but if it’s not rubbing I wouldn’t worry about it

It's not rubbing.. I'm getting the wheels back from truing tomorrow because the nds spokes were completely undertensioned
Found a good thread on bike radar about this. Will manually straighten the wheel and then check for flex and what not. Appears this frame has this issue!!!
Next bike will be cervelo

Got the wheel back and definitely still off-center. This wouldn't be a problem except the tubular tires on the wheels I bought were glued off center at one point. So a regluing is in order. The tire rubs now at this point on the tire so I'll see if it's better after I reglue the tire.

My 2015 Supersix Evo looks just like that and I've never had a problem with rubbing. FWIW, I use Continental Grand Prix 4000 S2 700x25 clinchers on 22.4mm and 24mm rims. Original owner, no wrecks.

my 93 2.8 did that, my 2014 evo does it a little, but once I figured out to put the wheel in, lean over the saddle and put a bunch of weight on it, THEN tighten the crap out of the skewer, the problem is almost non-existent. Which is good, because my 2014 evo can only take 23mm tires; I have yet to find a 25 that doesn't rub on the NDS.
I have heard some folks take a file to the drop-out, but I have not been brave enough to do that. It literally only takes a tiny bit of shaving in the dropout in the right spot to make a big change to how the wheel sits between the chainstays. Talk to your LBS mechanic and see if you/they're brave enough to try that.
