Hmmm.
Calling @TimothyH a troll is a bit harsh. He's answered many of my questions very informatively, often showing great insight and wisdom.
"Why are people allowed to like things different than I like? Can't somebody do something about this?"
My wife is off-the-charts crazy,. I know that because she is very much in love with me after all these years.
By your reasoning .. . you should be very much in love with me too, because after all, we can't have individuals with varied tastes. We all have to like the same things.
You might be a strong rider, and a very strong photographer ... but you are a feeble troll.

Camouflage patterns with bright colors supposedly "disrupt" the background. I don't believe it. They certainly don't disrupt the background as much as a plain white or some other bright color jersey without a camo pattern.
More importantly, do people actually think they look good? There was a guy with bullets on his wheels and everyone was fawning over his death bike. Maybe the same people like camo jerseys, I don't know.
Why would a road rider buy camo or brightly colored faux camo "disruptor" jerseys? I'm sincerely trying to understand.

I haven't seen these jerseys, but being tired of all the monochroatic kit that seems to dominate the market currently, I think I'll look into it.

Ha, interesting timing for me to see this thread! I was out seeing some music last night in a big university town. A very preppy college dude was wearing a camo baseball hat backwards. It struck me as a stood there how camo has been fully seized and co-opted by marketing and consumerist folks. It used to be for those in the military. It used to be for Corey Feldman and his vampire hunting buddies. It used to be for punks and punk rockers. Not anymore.
It's kinda like one step beyond the explosion of work wear, like Carhartt, becoming biz-cas wear for preppy folks...

Can't help but chime in on this thread. Here goes, all just personal opinion, since that is generally how fashion/kit choice/equipment choice goes...
I have always cared about how I look, from the sports fields/courts, to around town, to work, etc. Looking good makes me feel good, call me shallow
I'm generally appalled at our current level of street fashion in the U.S. Men wearing "fashion" sweatpants at expensive restaurants? Women in completely transparent leggings at the grocery store? Men and women going around town in slippers? Ugh, it can be overwhelming out there, folks. And then there is the current fascination, for some folks, with seemingly trying to look at "zany" as possible by wearing 17 different patterns at one time...Pattern Vomit seems to be the hottest trend...Adults dressing as if they're a three year old given free reign to pick out their own outfit from their dresser. Beyond me. You can look colorful and sharp without looking absurd. Modesty & class are sure nice, but surely lacking from my perspective.
And it seems to have hit the cycling world. I live in a pretty heavy road, cross, and mtb bike area. I'm now appalled to see how many fellow cyclists seemingly found the most garish kit possible, paired it all together, and jumped on the saddle. Socks, bibs, jersey ALL overwhelming patterns and colors. Yowzers. It's a head scratcher for me. Even if you prefer bright cycling clothing, you can do it tastefully. Right now, in my book, the Truly Tasteless Cyclists are absolutely dominating the Classy, Refined Rouleurs. It's a shame. (And, at the other end of the color spectrum I see more and more dudes on $5000+ bikes in all black, no lights, low lighting conditions. Again, in my own opinion, that is just insane. I have made it a personal goal to do my best to make certain motorists can't claim they didn't see me...jersey color, bike lights, and riding condition awareness are all aids I employ towards this end.)
Oh well, I realize most folks think adults on bicycles are fools to begin with, so there is that...

I don't have any problem with people who think they look great. No reason not to dress in the way that each finds pleasing. And for all I know, you and I share exactly the same tastes ... BUT ...
I refuse to be so small-minded as to think i am right for everyone, and I refuse to put everyone down if they have their own tastes.
This is where threads like this will always end up ... People who cannot say "I am doing it right" and at the same time refrain for telling everyone else they are doing it wrong.

I like the high vis faux camo patterns I saw earlier in this thread. I nearly always wear some high vis when I'm on the bike. I live pretty rural in South Carolina and it's hunting season right now so I'm all high vis all the time until it's over.

La Passione (sp?) has a sale going right now. There are a few jerseys with camo sleeves. I'd actually buy the blue one of they had it in my size.

But I do agree. The blue isn't bad at all. I've seen La Passion stuff several times on rides recently and it looks good. The two people I asked seem to enjoy their gear and both used the phrase "great value."
I'm actually thinking about the fashionable high-vis mideweight jersey in yellow which happens to be on sale.

Something about that flat mid-blue doesn't do it for me, like the Navy used on a bunch of Cervelos these days. It seems popular though.

I keep my eye open for new camo jersey offerings. Have worn a ThePedla one for sometime now and love it.

Non omnino gravis
Remember when the Hello Kitty parent company (Sanrio) tried to tell us that it's not actually a cat, but a girl in a costume, and the Hello Kitty Fandom was just like... NO. SHE IS AN ADORABLE CAT.

Wouldn't that base layer show through a white jersey though? And wouldn't that look weird? Like when black bib straps show through a light jersey.

Bib straps or base layer showing through a jersey is now being called a "reveal" by manufacturers. A reveal is actually the silk or satin liner of a suit jacket or sports coat. The interesting pattern 'reveals" itself when you move about and people around you get a glimpse inside your jacket. But yeah, manufacturers have found a way to market something showing through a jersey as fashionable.
I suppose a white base layer would work to hide nipples. Or perhaps @WhyFi can find some wicking/breathable pasties.
The colored base layer looks good under a dark or monochrome jersey. It really pops when the jersey is unzipped a little for ventilation. I like wearing mine when I wear all black or grey for gravel. Castelli has some new Pro Mesh base layers with color but they are not suitable for really hot conditions.
