I am loyal to FUJI, having had a Fuji Ace 2002/2003 road steel bike, also, Fuji Crosstown steel
frame hybrid, and also a aluminum MTB Nevada v1 bike.
But, more recently, I've had to shop around for models, and have seen there are cheaper
alternatives perhaps with less quality, but with a lot lower price, for aluminum, and great
components. I think FUJI could do more to adapt to the strengthening Canadian dollar
by dropping prices by at least 30 percent.

My Team Issue WCS frameset was shipped Friday. I can't wait, mmm, carbon and campy. Next best thing to steel and campy.

Is that why we didn't see you out this weekend - too giddy thinking about that new bike? You missed the chance start Sunday in the slop, end in the sun, and then head home to rinse off all the road-grime (I should have taken a pic of the gray Team RC I ended up with!).

No, reason you all didn't see me at the PBA rides this weekend was that the wife and I decided that after a week's 'vacation' in LA with family we needed a vacation to recover from our vacation. So we jumped in the car after work on Friday and headed down to Austin for the weekend. I'll have to drag myself into the trainer tonight.

06' Newest 4.0
I wanted an inexpensive entry-level bike and last June I found an '06 Newest 4.0 for $299.00 brand new. It's been very dependable and I have had no problems with it.
After riding it almost 900 miles, I am wanting to upgrade to a '07 Roubaix.
Hopefully I can do that next spring.

I have a 2003 Fuji Super Lite. Great bike for the money. I do notice a bit of BB flex as well,
but is stiff enough to be a good climber, just not the best I have ever had, but real good.
It is also super comfortable for long rides of 60+ miles and also for centuries, it is my bike
of choice. It is lighter than my Trek 5200 and Trek 5500 was, but not quite as stiff in the BB
area as those two. Works great for long climbs though, and very well for short climbs, just not
quite as good as the Trek's. I love the Fuji, it is my main road bike, and a complete bargain for
the price I got it for. It was a steal.

Oh, btw - 2007 Team RC. Removed the butt-cracker seat and white bar wrap, as well as the stock stem. Thinking I don't like the stock tires on wet roads - felt a bit squirrelly yesterday. Otherwise, so far so good at about the 250 miles - got in the first crash at under 50 miles, and got thoroughly caked with road grime yesterday (cleaned up first thing once I got home).

What saddle did you replace that one with? And very glad that crash wasn't any worse than it was, it certainly sounded bad directly behind me during the last ride! Look forward to seeing the cleaned up Team RC when I see you next. Hopefully by then I'll have the Team Issue on the road as well. I'll likely be hanging the Serotta till spring and using the rear wheel off it for a trainer wheel during the winter months.
Weather permitting, we'll be out this weekend, but probably not the following as I have friends in town so I'll probably only get a few quick 20 mile rides from the house in that weekend.
If you need a garage/work-stand to build up that Team Issue, give me a shout.

(Mini thread hyjack over after this post I promise): Weather looks fantastic for this weekend. I hope to have the Fuji ready to roll on Saturday or at the latest Sunday.
Here's where I am right now with the build:

That's a double-wall aluminum rim wheel, obviously, right ?
Personally, I think there's a huge difference ... between regular wheel and double-wall
rim ...the latter is heavier, and slower. Less "feel" for the road.
I like the regular wheels, even if at 190 lbs/ 200 lbs it's a bit stressed out.
I didn't get any spokes broken until 3 years later.

My spur of the moment buy while killing time before a job interview. Some guilt though, because I bought from a chain (next door to play I was interviewing and now work). Their post-buy service sucks. I got what I deserve. Really digg the bike though

Fuji Team Pro Mentioned Earlier in thread and today - Fuji Aloha 1.0
I will get pictures up next week when new bike arrives, but I am now a (2) Fuji owner. First one 3 mts ago, and Fuji Aloha 1.0 today.
More the impulse buy, as it started as research for next year, but got a great deal on it. Actually wanted Cervelo entry level, but could not pass up the deal on Fuji, and now have money for wheels etc. Fuji really gives you bang for the buck in components.
I now have to figure out how to explain all my time /money going into biking and why I bought another bike to my wife and inlaws.
My explanation - Healthy middle age crazy - 40's thing, but a lot cheaper than convertible sports car or a divorce and marrying a 20 something.
I never thought this biking disease was going to get me as I was content for 8 yrs on my other bike.

OK, let me be the first:
Kestrel Talon, 2007 frame. Full ultegra, Neuvation M28Aero2 wheels. It doesn't look like it would but this bike makes for a great long distance ride. The frame was built before Fuji bought out Kestrel, but, well, I guess it's a Fuji now!

I have a 1982? maybe 83 Fuji Del Rey Frame with Suntour components. The Del Rey debuted Fuji's "Val-lite" tubing. I think it was quad butted! This was a touring bike. It was originally a Fuji S-18-S, but the frame was out of alignment when purchased, and I did not notice it as a 15 year old until a year later. The seat stays were actually different lengths because of where they had been welded into the Seat tube-toptube junction. Anyway, it was a good ride and it made it to Germany, Switzerland and Lichtenstein and back in 1985. It got a bent crank at some point which was not a problem when I started riding it as I retuned to cycling in 2004, but last year I tried a century in December and I think the combination of the bent crank and the cold left me hobbled with a sore knee till February. It has been hanging in the garage ever since, but I still have fond thoughts of it.
